Pyromellitic dianhydride is white or yellowish crystal powder. It is soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethylformamide, acetone, and other organic solvents, insoluble in diethyl ether, trichloromethane, and benzene.

Application
The product is mainly used as raw material for producing polyimide monomer, curing agent for epoxy resin and cross-linking agent for polyester resin, phthalocyanine blue dye and PET chain extender for food packaging.

Notes
The product is irritant to eyes, respiratory system, and skin. Wear rubber gloves, goggles, mask, and other protective articles.
